Introduction

The Department of Political Science at Mahatma Basweshwar College, Latur was established in June 1970, and the postgraduate programme was introduced in 1994. The department aims to develop informed, responsible, and socially committed citizens through the systematic study of political theory, governance, public administration, and international relations.

The department focuses on Indian and comparative politics, constitutional studies, public administration, and global political trends. It emphasizes leadership development, democratic values, human rights awareness, and national integration, preparing students for civil services, academics, diplomacy, and public life.
